The Setting

Imagine the World of Harry Potter...but there is no Harry?

That is the premise of the room Tales From The Daily Prophet. Set in the world of Wizards, Witches, Muggles and Magic created by J.K. Rowling, play takes place twenty-one years after Albus Dumbledore diminished but not destroyed the evil Lord Voldemort. Dumbledore himself has been defeated, and the Dark Lord and his Deatheaters reign in terror supreme.

The setting is the world of J.K. Rowling as depicted on screen and in literature. If you have not seen a film or read any of the books you may still play here, but please read our setting pages carefully. Ask questions of the Host and Co-Hosts, too. Many of the details of the room are based on the charming details in the books, which are many, varied, and at times quite different from the films.

For those of you wishing to Role Play in a universe where Harry Potter -does- exist, then you can start one of your own on SanguinemDraconis.net.
